Chicago Golf Lesson Evaluation - Golf Improvement by PGA Pro Lou Solarte I used two drills during this lesson to improve this students swing plane, angle of approach, body segment coordination and also improved symmetry of the swing. First we developed club face/swing plane awareness with the racket drill. Second we developed torso to arm sequence with the "9 to 3 Drill". Notice the drill video below is done indoors, during this lesson we hit balls outdoors off the turf. We did the drill for 15 minute each, so for a total of 30 minutes of a 1 hour lesson. I always attempt in these types of lessons to overload the brain so that the old movement pattern is harder to access. I find the one or two drills that will have the greatest improvement on ball flight, timing and sequencing. Chicago Golf Lessons Evaluatio |

In this slow-motion video, we measure Arnold Palmer's downswing separation, to show how he was able to consistently generate club head speed and distance. Overall, Palmer had the most efficient golf swing of any pro we have measured. Just as a rocket fires each stage separately, Arnold Palmer separated the movement of his legs, hips, shoulders, arm and hands during his downswing. His amount of separation was far superior to any pro playing today. This separation allowed him to drive the ball as far as 346 yards with the old equipment. Because separation effortlessly produces club head speed, Palmer was able to rack up 92 victories including four Masters. Arnold Palmer Downswing Separa |
www.golfsaid.com Nick Price and Nick Faldo both demonstrate a backswing that has produced many major championships. This is a great backswing for players with less flexibility and is controlled mostly by the body. The left arm and chest stay very connected with the clubhead outside the hands at the first parallel. This is an excellent backswing to copy. Brady Riggs (redgoat) Golf Backswing: Nick Faldo & N |
