Although the stock chain tensioner worked fine, I was curious to try a bearing roller chain tensioner for less noise and perhaps an improvement in efficiency. I kept my design along the same lines as the stock tensioner so no modification to the frame was necessary. My tensioner is made from 1/4" 7075 aluminum plate and a pulley and bearing from an ADA GoPed GSR40 chain tensioner.
