www.keithmolloy.com This 3 minute video clip shows a great, challenging & creative circuit. With all the rain we've had at the Jersey Shore this spring, it was nice to have a beautiful morning to train Mike (with our intern Dan's help). This style of training is great for functional strength & performance, as well as burning fat. Whenever you use short and intense bursts of exercise, while using a lot of muscle, you will have post exercise fat burning. This circuit consisted of; sandbag 1 leg rows (great for upper back, core stabilization & grip), sandbag pick up squats ( great for legs , grip & rotational strength), med ball wall rotational throws (for golf, tennis & softball), and a 150 yard sled run. When developing rotational torso strength, coaches sometimes use a tornado ball. Here is a quick way to make your own that is durable, adjustable, inexpensive and utilizes tools that you already have. Take a med ball and put into an army duffle bag. Quick and easy and the weight can be adjusted, by using different size med balls. This setup can also be used for throwing (rotational, backward, transverse movement patterns) and is safe for inside gymnasium use. DieselCrew.com - Homemade Torn |
