www.croom.wordpress.com www.croomabu.ie Richard Finch from England defied all the odds to win the Irish open Golf Championship today,even had time to take a dip in the River Maigue before he chipped on to the 18th green to achieve victory.Finch was holding a three shot lead when his second shot left him on the bank of the Maigue ,he managed to chip on to the green but ended up in the Maigue to the amusement of the vast crowd who were in raptures of laughter as it was replayed on the large video screen.A great performance from the 40 year old Yorkshire Man . What a wonderful occasion and weekend it turned out to be for the region ,captured in in my home video cam is footage of the majestic Adare Manor Hotel and Golf Resort,the spectators,richard finch and his moment of comedy,blooper,mishap ending up in the river maigue was the eventual winner,no better way to round off an excellent weekend than a listen to the excellent music sounds provided by the jazz threesome.

This is a nice quick video that I downloaded from the website Community Webshots. It is of a person Hang Gliding in Chelan, British Columbia, Canada. Or, in Chelan, Washington State, USA The person, who has the user name nighthawk723, has uploaded a collection of other Hang Gliding videos at Community Webshots, also. I would include the web address to the other Hang Gliding videos, but You Tube doesn't allow it. That is one thing that I hate about this website. Of nighthawk723's collection, I like this video the best because of the colors of the blue river or lake with the green field or golf course as the Hang Glider slowly and casually floats in for the landing. And also because of the close pass above the tree-top just before finishing the left-turn to land.

"Get Golf Ready," the latest Play Golf America program, recently featured six new and former golfers going through the Get Golf Ready steps while receiving instruction from leading PGA/LPGA Professionals. Filmed on location at the PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance and the award-winning PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla., Segment 6 includes PGA/LPGA Professional Suzy Whaley, PGA teaching professional at TPC River Highland in Cromwell, Conn. Today, the six golfers play a few holes with LPGA Professional Stacy Lewis and PGA Tour Professional JJ Henry.

The City of Auburn presents a tour of the White River Disc Golf Course located in its own Game Farm Wilderness Park along the White River. The host, Tom Bontempo, takes us through both the winter and summer courses with a description and playing tips for each hole. Mr. Bontempo was the designer of the White River Disc Golf Course and is responsible for its upkeep. He also owns Mandos, the local Disc Golf store on Main Street in Auburn.
