Golf great Tiger Woods was seriously injured in a car accident in Florida early Friday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Woods, 33, is in the hospital in very serious condition after a single-car crash at 2:25 am in which he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree, according to the FHP. The crash is under investigation and charges are pending, but the crash was not alcohol-related, the highway patrol said in its accident report. It wasn't known if he was wearing a seatbelt. Woods pulled out of his driveway in the Isleworth community when he struck the hydrant. He then plowed into the tree on his neighbor's property. He was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Fla.

After defeating every team in the u10 division Virginia Run n Gun capped off its perfect 13-0 season with a thrilling victory over Southwestern Youth Association (SYA). Lead by point guard AJ Robinson, Center Wanya Allen and Power Forward Darrell Ramey, Run n Gun played an up tempo style game and ran past every opponent. Barry Schultz climbs into a fenced in area where his disc landed at the 2009 Atlanta Open disc golf tournament presented by Remax. Barry's drive on Hole 13 (645 ft , Par 4) at Central Park in Cumming , GA ends up turning over in the high winds and heads straight toward a fenced in maintenance shed on the side of the building. Since the area was not deemed out-of-bounds by the TD he was allowed to play from where the disc came to rest. Decision was agreed upon by the group consisting of Ken Climo, David Feldberg, Paul mcbeth & Kevin mccoy. This was a somewhat controversial call.
